AI ETHICS IN PRACTICE

As part of the Gender and Technology project at the University of Cambridge, I worked with stakeholders in the AI industry and the policy world to examine current barriers to implementing AI ethics frameworks and procedures within industry contexts.

I examine how attitudes towards AI relate to historical forms of anti-Asian discrimination and racism.

FEMINIST APPROACHES TO AI

I am the co-editor of the forthcoming collections Feminist AI: Critical Perspectives on Algorithms, Data and Intelligent Machines (OUP, 2023) and The Good Robot: Feminist Voices on the Future of Technology (Bloomsbury Academic, 2024). I have also published articles on whether AI can de-bias recruitment and on gendered representations of AI scientists in popular films.
